Shedo

This collection wants to pay tribute to this way of filtering light, hence its name. Shēdo (Filter of light).

In our culture light and darkness are antagonistic concepts. They do not coincide in space and time. Shadow is always used to highlight light, and is seen as a negative. On the other hand, in Japan, the lights and shadows "dance" together, it is the perfect union of opposites. There are 158 ways to express the concept of light and there is an infinite gradient between light and shadow.

Play of light and shadows

In their search for light control, the Japanese invented the Shoji, known worldwide as "paper screen" and representative of their architecture.

The Shoji create a play of light and shadow and the colors are transformed along the way.
