This collection aims to pay tribute to this way of filtering light, hence its name: Shēdo (Light filter).
In our culture, light and darkness are antagonistic concepts. They do not coincide in space or time. Shadow is always used to highlight light, and is seen as something negative. In Japan, however, lights and shadows "dance" together; it is the perfect union of opposites. There are 158 ways to express the concept of light, and there is an infinite gradient between light and shadow.
Shoji screens create a play of light and shadow, and the colors transform along their path.
